The ancient fire rises up in
the night
To a starry sky
A new breed of animal looks to the heavens
And wonders why
He had not the tools or the knowledge
To understand what he'd seen
His questions had no answers
And so he believed
He invented solutions to questions that were still out of reach
While fifty thousand generations
Came and went
Like the waves on the beach
He offered up proof
Of his connections divine
And told all his fellows

Should one man suffer
To lighten another man's load?
How many more wars must be fought
